I have a collection of real estate signs.

It amazes me how the public can be so tolerant of roadside advertising and yet so intolerant of other forms of public art like graffiti and wheatpaste graphics.

. . .Because of this, I see an opportunity in the repurposing of real estate signs. By re-using this advertising space, I could take advantage of their acceptability.

Additionally, these signs are graphically wonderful in both color and type. They can be redacted to make alternative messages. Using exisitng lettering to create new meaning, the subconscious aspect of the original message is revealed. For example. . .the word "desperate" could be reduced to "rat," and "foreclosure," to "for sure." There is a truth to these hidden messages.
